At Dirty Dawg Dog Grooming, your dog's welfare is our highest priority. Please read the following terms before booking your appointment.
 

Cancellation Policy

We kindly ask for at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or rearrange your appointment.

• Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice will incur a £20 cancellation fee.

• Failure to attend your appointment without notice ("no-show") will also result in a full groom fee.
   

Matting Policy

The health and welfare of your dog always comes first.

If your dog's coat is severely matted, brushing the matting out may cause unnecessary pain, stress and discomfort. In these cases, it is often kinder and more humane to clip the coat short.

Before any clipping takes place, you will be asked to sign a Matting Consent Form confirming that you understand and agree to the procedure.

Please note that severe matting can:

• Cause significant pain and discomfort.

• Restrict movement.

• Reduce blood circulation.

• Hide skin infections, sores or parasites that may only become visible once the coat has been removed.

Additional grooming charges may apply for heavily matted coats.
 

Flea Policy

For the health and safety of all dogs visiting the salon, please do not bring your dog to their appointment if they have fleas.

If fleas are discovered during your dog's groom:

• The appointment will be stopped immediately.

• A charge of 50% of the full groom price will still apply to cover the time spent and the deep cleaning required before another dog can be groomed.
   

Vaccination Policy

For the safety of all dogs in our care:

• Puppies must have received their second vaccination (12-week vaccination) before attending their first appointment.

• We reserve the right to refuse grooming if appropriate vaccinations have not been completed.
   

Late Arrivals

Please arrive on time for your appointment.

If you arrive more than 15 minutes late, we reserve the right to:

• Cancel your appointment.

• Reschedule your appointment.

• Shorten the groom where possible while still charging the full appointment fee.

This helps us remain on schedule for all our customers.
 

Your Dog's Welfare

Every dog is treated with kindness, patience and respect throughout their visit.

However, we reserve the right to stop or refuse a groom if we believe continuing would compromise the welfare of your dog or the safety of our staff.
